Do not merely analyse aspects of mise-en-scene and influences. Go through and check and don't be tricked.
Influences or inspirations are a convention of the medium and thus could be explained as such:
We used the conventions of the language of music videos (Goodwin) by making inter textual references to...
Slide 2: Quote from theory of genre and then relate to your production.
Slide 4; Reference Goodwin here: "There is a relationship between the music and the visuals". We used this convention...... and so on.
Slides 6-10 interesting but you are moving miles away from the question. Instead or add slides on : Narrative structure: You need to include how you used the conventions of continuity editing, alterations in colouration to indicate memory/flashbacks. (look up theory of narrative in your booklet)
You write well Barney and your response is interesting : I suggest layout, how you used: Conventions of medium; Genre; Media Language to include inter-textuality; Narrative (how and why you used conventions of narrative in post production) with examples.
I've had another look, please include in each section how you either used, developed or challenged conventions.
1) I suggest you begin with the conventions of the medium and how you have made a music video which lasts as long as the track...
2) Conventions of narrative, look in theory booklet and explain how you used 1) continuity editing; 2) the conventions of colouration with regard to flash backs (explain how you used the convention of colouration to alert the viewer to differentiate between real time and illusory flash backs which indicate illusion.
3) You evaluate intertextuality well but you need to commence this section by explaining that music videos include inter textual references (Goodwin); then move on to explain that you have used this convention to improve appeal and to flatter audiences who make the links to other texts.
Print productions, again focus on the question evaluating how you have used the conventions of the medium: fonts, text integrated with image, dimensions and so on.
At present Level 3 (C but with revisions as suggested could be Grade B)
